Crime Trackers: PCSD looking for three suspects who stole lotto tickets

TUCSON – The Pima County Sheriff’s Department needs your help in identifying three suspects accused of stealing nearly $1,000 worth of lottery tickets.

Deputy Dan Jelineo said the incident occurred on in December 2018 at a Circle K store on Country Club Road and Ajo Way.

Ten minutes after the initial incident, the stolen lotto tickets were cashed at a Fry’s on Irvington Road and Campbell Avenue.

Jelineo said they got away with $100.

He said they need help in identifying the male suspect, who is believed to be Hispanic or Native American.  He was said to be in his early to mid-30s. He was last seen wearing a red flannel jacket and a black baseball cap.

The other two suspects were said to be Hispanic females, possibly in their late 20s to early 30s.

One was wearing a blue sweater and blue pants at the time of the incident. The other one was wearing a red jacket and black pants.

Jelineo said this could be a dangerous situation. He added the thieves go in with the intention of taking what they want. He said if people get in their way, they could get hurt.

He said it is the public who ends up paying for the stolen merchandise, as stores have to raise their prices to make up for the loss.
