Crime Trackers: Sahuarita Police look for man accused of sexual misconduct with minor

SAHUARITA, Ariz. – Sahuarita Police need your help in locating 35-year-old David Wayne Clark. He is wanted for sexual conduct with a minor.

Sgt. Michael Falquez told News 4 Tucson the public had already helped them locate his wife, Stephanie. He said numerous tips came in last Friday and they arrested her at her home in the 800 block of West Calle Arroyo Norte.

She was taken to the Pima County Jail and booked on charges of two counts of child abuse, and two counts of failure to report child abuse.

The sergeant said this stemmed from a call they responded to on Jan. 9 that involved a domestic disturbance.

When officers arrived, they developed probable cause of child abuse.  They conducted a search warrant. Falquez said because this was an ongoing case, he could not get into specifics. However, there was enough evidence to help substantiate an investigation.

Sean Brewster lives in the neighborhood and is in total disbelief.  He said it was scary to know people like that live in your neighborhood.

Sahuarita police said it is very important to find David Wayne Clark and get him off the streets.

“I would encourage Mr. Clark if he’s watching this to turn himself in,” Falquez said. “The department will not rest until he’s taken into custody.”

Anyone who has information about David Wayne Clark’s whereabouts is asked to call 911, the SPD Tip Line at 520-445-7847 or 88-CRIME.
