MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (CNN) - The search for a missing boy in Ohio has turned into a recovery mission.
Officials are now looking for the remains of the 6-year-old after his parents say they dumped his body in a river.
"He was just the sweetest little boy," Lisa Gosney, the 6-year-old's aunt said.
That from a woman who says she's the aunt of little James Hutchinson and the sister of the woman now charged with James' murder.
29-year-old Brittany Gosney is charged with murder, abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence.
Her 42-year-old boyfriend, James Hamilton is charged with abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence.
This from the woman who says she's Brittany Gosney's sister.
"Had there been any problems? Police are saying that doesn't just happen overnight. Something must have been going on. Obviously, you do not know what happened," Reporter Curtis Fuller asked the victim's aunt.
"Nothing that I am too aware about," she responded. "I just know that they recently got their home and they are starting over fresh. I was trying to help her."
Six-year-old James was reported missing the morning of March 21.
People came out searching for the child, but police said, "Sadly upon further questioning of Brittany Gosney and her boyfriend, James Hamilton, they now say that James was killed in Preble County a few days ago. The child's body was brought back to Middletown, where they live, and later put into the Ohio river."
This from the child's aunt.
"I am just questioning why, trying to make this make sense," she said. "It just makes no sense."
Two other children have been removed from the family's home.
