PIMA COUNTY (KVOA) - For two weeks starting Wednesday, small and minority businesses will be able to apply for a new and improved Payment Protection Program.

President Joe Biden made the announcement Monday, saying the forgivable loans would target small businesses skipped in the last relief payments.

Meanwhile, for small businesses like Amy's Nail Salon in Marana, the relief is much needed.

"It would be very helpful because yea because pretty much we don't know what happens tomorrow," Dany Bank, a nail technician at Amy's Nail Salon said. "Right now, we just go day by day and yea we don't know how it's going to happen."

Small businesses with 20 employees or less will be able to apply for the forgivable loans. For more information, click here.
