Zona loses to UCLA for 5th time in a row

TUCSON (KVOA) - After falling for the sixth time in a row against Oregon, the Arizona men's basketball team extended their losing streak against UCLA to five.

Arizona led by one at halftime, but UCLA pulled away in the second for a 74-60 victory.

On his 20th birthday, UCLA forward Jaime Jaquez scored a career-high 25 points as Arizona just could not get out of their funk in the second half.

The Wildcats jumped out to a 10-2 lead within the first 3:30 of the game as Azoules Tabulis hit three layups and Arizona seemed on a roll at Pauley Pavilion.

James Akinjo lead Wildcat players with 21 points while Tubelis had 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds.

Next up for U of A? - A trip to Pac-12 leader USC on Saturday.
