PCSD: Disturbance on Southside turns into homicide investigation

TUCSON (KVOA) - The Pima County Sheriff's Department has confirmed that the disturbance near the 3100 block of E. Drexel Road has turned into a homicide investigation.

Deputies reported that 61-year-old Jose Mendoza Martinez was found with injuries on Saturday morning, and later died of those injuries at Banner Medical Center.

Detectives have arrested a 15-year-old juvenile after investigating the scene.

The 15-year-old has been charged with first-degree murder.
