AIA meeting: Fall High School sports postponed until Jan. 5

PHOENIX (KVOA) - The starting date has been pushed back because of COVID-19 concerns for most sports that take part in the fall session at the high school level.  The suggested date for winter sports to begin is now January 5, 2021.

The Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) Executive Board made the decision at a special meeting on Thursday.

Some of the sports Tucson-area athletes take part in during the fall session (which was set to start on November 9th, but, was pushed back because of COVID-19 concerns at schools) includes: Basketball, Wrestling and soccer.
