TUCSON - Another hot afternoon with a slight chance for storms in Tucson. More active to the south and east and this trend will continue into the weekend!

Storms will favor areas in Santa Cruz and Cochise County with only a stray storm or two possible in Tucson this afternoon. The biggest impacts will be heavy rain, gusty wind and frequent lightning so stay weather AWARE. 

An Excessive Heat Warning is in effect for parts of Pinal County including Casa Grande, Florence, Coolidge and Maricopa until 8 PM tonight. It will be hot all across Southern Arizona so be sure to limit your time outside and stay hydrated! Don't forget to protect your furry friends too!

Temperatures will start to back off slightly starting today before heating back up to near 107° by the end of the weekend with limited storms as well. Watch News 4 Tucson for more details from 5 AM to 7 AM and at noon!
