Sonora Quest warns of scammers asking for personal information in exchange for COVID-19 test results

TUCSON (KVOA) - A local medical laboratory that conducts COVID-19 tests released a warning Wednesday to inform residents about a recent scam that have been targeting their targeting.

According to Sonora Quest, the organization has received information about scammers potentially posing as their employees. Sonora Quest said the scammers would contact a person over the phone and ask to receive that person's personal information for them to hear the results of their COVID-19 tests.

Officials say that Sonora Quest does not provide COVID-19 test results over the phone unless requested by patients themselves.

People who have been administered a test by Sonora Quest can obtain their results by contacting their ordering physician or visiting
