TUCSON - Concerns of the coronavirus are growing around the country and the Gem Show is well underway here in Tucson.
People from all over the world are gathering together in our city to participate in the largest gem show on Earth.
News 4 Tucson talked to a few vendors and buyers across Tucson to see if they were alarmed about a potential case developing locally.
"I am not really to concerned. I am you know washing my hands and being safe, but every couple years there is a big virus outbreak," said Branch Ellison of Orgnix.
Michael Goettsch is another gem show vendor for the Primo Collection.
"If you are in a healthful state, the likelihood of you being susceptible to some sort of virus or some cold or disease is much lower," said Goettsch.
Yet, there are others including Chieh Ko of Taiwan who are very mindful of the potentially deadly disease.
"You need the mask and I use it to defend myself," said Ko.
David Magnant is a vendor of From the Ground Up and traveled from Oregon.
"Yeah there is a small cause for concern. There are people coming from everywhere to here," said Magnant. "So I guess the risk will be higher at this point."
