Scattered showers and mountain snow are on the way

TUCSON - Tomorrow, expect scattered showers throughout the day. Highs will only reach the upper 50s (brrrrr!).

  • Tomorrow: 70% chance of rain. High: 57°
  • Tomorrow night: Mostly cloudy. Low: 40°
  • Tuesday: Mostly sunny. High: 63°

This rain is courtesy of a storm system, which moved in from the Pacific.

This system will bring a chance of showers, mountain snow, and below-average temperatures. Isolated showers developed across Southern Arizona, especially along the international border. Expect an increase in showers overnight tonight through Monday evening. Anticipate up to 0.5” of rain on the valley floors and up to 1.0” in the higher terrain. Localized areas could see up to 2.0". Mountain locations above 7000 feet could see between 3-8" of snow Monday morning.

This weather system will also cool temperatures down drastically. Daytime highs will struggle to get out of the 50s.

After Monday, expect dry conditions the remainder of the week, along with a warm-up. By Friday into the weekend, the 70s will return to the forecast under abundant sunshine.
