TAMPA, Fla. – A Tucson native recently completed in the 2019 Department of Defense Warriors Game.

Navy Diver 2nd Class Daniel Clarke competed for Team Navy –he participated in cycling, swimming, shooting, archery and powerlifting events.

“Being a part of Team Navy gives me a chance to continue to fight for something, even if it isn’t what I originally planned to,” said Clarke.

Clarke is also a 2003 Amphitheater High School graduate.

The Department of Defense Warrior Games provides an opportunity for athletes to grow physically, mentally and spiritually. The program also provides premier non-medical services to wounded, ill and injured Sailors and Coast Guardsmen as well as support and resources to their families.

“It’s good to find the people who have gone through something similar as you, and learn from them as early as you can,” said Clarke.
