Travelers in vehicles coming in and out of the U.S. have been hacked

Travelers in vehicles coming in and out of the U.S. have been hacked.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection said a sub-contractor’s data base was compromised by a cyber-attack.

CBP says traveler facial images and license plate images were transferred without authorization.

The agency says less than 100-thousand people were affected by the attack.

CBP also said its own systems were not affected.
