‘Thank a Cop Day’ in Southern Arizona

TUCSON –  National Police Week, “Thank a Cop Day” will be celebrated Thursday in Tucson.

Created by the Southern Arizona Law Enforcement Foundation, the day is used to recognize and thank our local law enforcement officers.

Partnering with local restaurants and businesses, meals and treats will be delivered throughout the day to police stations across town including Tucson Police Department, Marana Police Department, Pima County Sheriff’s Department and University of Arizona Police Department.

The public is encouraged to participate in the appreciation of officers. Thank a Cop Day displays can be found at:

Dunkin Donuts at Swan and Grant roads from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Dunkin Donuts at University Boulevard from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

You can talk to police officers, get a “Thank a Cop” bumper sticker and drop off cards thanking officers.
