A service dog that spent time working for the military reunited with his former partner in San Antonio, Texas Tuesday.
Marine Corporal Aaron Stice spent three years working with Kkeaton, the bomb-sniffing dog who kept him safe when he served as a military police officer at Camp Pendleton California.
When Cpl. Stice was transferred to Lackland AFB to work with the Military Working Dog program there, Kkeaton had to stay in California.
Now, seven months later, the two are together once again. American Humane sent one if its top veterinarians to escort MWD Kkeaton back to San Antonio, where he will spend his retirement.
Cpl. Stice says it will take Kkeaton a while to get used to retirement, but it will be easier now that he and the dog are together.
