Police ID victims in north side apparent murder-suicide

TUCSON – Police have identified the two victims who were killed in an apparent murder-suicide on Saturday.

Pima County Sheriff’s Department says Emmanuel Vergara, 42, entered a facility in the 1000 block of W. Ina Rd., at about 11:30 a.m., and shot 42-year-old Nadia Lundin and then shot himself.

An 11-year-old was also found in the lobby of the building with non-life threatening injuries from shots fired by Vergara.

The child was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

No further details regarding Vergara and Lundin’s relationship have been released.

The investigation is ongoing.
