TUCSON – Senator Martha McSally is expected to address sexual assault in the military, while visiting commanders and leaders from Ft. Huachuca and Davis-Monthan on Friday.
In March, McSally revealed she was raped by a superior officer while in the Air Force. She is now calling for a change saying it’s an all too common problem for women in the military.
The Pentagon created a task force, at Sen. McSally’s request, to address the problem in the military.
Since then, the senator has been speaking at conferences about the issue. She said she hopes to help others going through similar situations.
This is a developing story.
