TUCSON – The YWCA of Southern Arizona will expand one of its bilingual-community-based programs thanks to a $50,000 grant.
RALIANCE, a national partnership dedicated to ending sexual violence, announced ten recipients of grants, including the YWCA in Tucson, on Tuesday.
YWCA says they will use the grant to expand the Promotoraas Rompiendo Cadenas Program. The program is designed to promote awareness and help Latinx victims of sexual violence.
“The grants are timed to coincide with the Day of Action for Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), a campaign to raise public awareness about sexual violence and educate communities on how to prevent it,” YWCA said.
