Tucson’s expansion indoor football team to have opener on Sunday at TCC

TUCSON – The Old Pueblo’s newest professional sports team is gearing up for Sunday’s home opener against Bismarck.  It all goes down at the Tucson Convention Center.  On the team’s Facebook page it says: “Our mission is to consistently serve our Fans, and Partners (Sponsors) with the highest level of professionalism and integrity, with an affordable product, and passion both on and off the field in Tucson and Southern Arizona.”

The Tucson Sugar Skulls, of the Professional Indoor Football League, beat the San Diego Strike Force 65-44.  Here is more as-seen-on-KVOA sportscast:

Running back Mike Jones and wide receiver Shaquan Curenton with three touchdowns apiece. Defensive lineman Keith Jones Jr. adds a fumble recovery for a TD.

There are plenty of tickets still available for the Tucson Sugar Skulls home opener this Sunday.
