Convicted murdered captured at U.S.-Mexico border

DOUGLAS – Authorities have arrested a Mexican national who was convicted of murder, after he illegally entered the United States.

According to Customs and Border Protection, Moises Cisneros-Llamas, 36, was taken into custody at the port of entry in Douglas last Sunday.

Authorities say officers identified Cisneros during processing, and learned he was previously deported to Mexico, after he served 15 years in prison in connection with a 2002 second-degree murder conviction in Phoenix.

Cisneros is now facing immigration prosecution for re-entering the U.S. after he had been deported.
