TUCSON – A small school from the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) gave the Arizona men’s basketball team lots of fits in the first half at McKale Center in a game that’d see U of A trail by 12 at halftime. However, after Brandon Randolph heated up for back-to-back-to-back 3-pointers, Arizona re-took the lead and put the clamp down in the final 6 minutes of the game. The Wildcats survive for the 80-69 victory. Here’s highlights as-seen-on KVOA sports:
Guard Brandon Randolph scored 16 points and hit 4 of 6 three-pointers.
Point guard Justin Coleman scored 15 points and dished off three assists.
Guard Dylan Smith scored 13 points off the bench for Arizona.
Forward Emmanuel Akot started for the Wildcats and chipped in for 7 points.
Arizona will now travel to Alabama in a matchup this Sunday, December 9th on the road.
