Girl sets up hot cocoa stand to help her friend diagnosed with cancer

TUCSON — A young girl is going above and beyond with a big gesture, to help a friend in need.

7-year-old Rylin set up a hot cocoa stand at the Buckalew Farm Tree lot, across from the Foothills Mall on Friday. She’s raising money for her friend Tanner, who is currently battling cancer.

Rylin says she came up with the idea on her own, as a way to support her friend.

She says she was thinking about setting up a lemonade stand, but decided to make hot cocoa because of how close it is to the holidays.

There is currently no word if Ryln plans to hold another fundraiser.
