Woman killed in construction accident on south side identified

TUCSON – A woman was killed in a construction accident near Benson Highway and Alvernon Way, according to Tucson Police Department.

Officials say 51-year-old Hallie Dubey was working with Eagle Rock Construction crew on a private property. While doing road work, the woman was said to be hit by construction equipment. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say it’s not clear if she was working for Eagle Rock.

Tucson police said the initial reports indicate that the incident appears to be an accident.

Traffic and homicide detectives are investigating the cause of the incident.

The company involved was said to be a be a private business.
