Amanda Gomez anchors News 4 Tucson at 4, 6 and 10 p.m.
She joined the team in December 2019 as the anchor for News 4 Tucson Today.
Amanda is an Arizona native and is ecstatic to be back in the Grand Canyon State serving the community of Southern Arizona.
Amanda comes to News 4 Tucson from KION-TV in Monterey, California where she anchored the 5, 6, and 11 p.m. newscasts along with the 10 p.m. on the Central Coast CW.
During her time with KION, Amanda helped cover and produce special live coverage for the horrific mass shooting at the Gilroy Garlic Festival as well as major events such as the 2019 U.S. Open at the Pebble Beach Golf Links.
Amanda began her career at KXXV in Waco, Texas as a weekend reporter, morning and midday anchor before moving to KERO in Bakersfield, California as weekend anchor/mmj.
Amanda grew up riding horses and is a member of the Cowgirls Historical Foundation whose mission is to preserve our western heritage through volunteerism.
Amanda is eager to find opportunities to get back in the saddle, explore Southern Arizona and get to know the community!
