Sean Mooney anchors News 4 Tucson Today along with Destiny Quinn.
His journey to News 4 Tucson took nearly 3 decades, but according to Sean, it was worth waiting for.
After growing up in Tucson and watching Channel 4 as a kid, Sean went to the University of Arizona and earned a degree in Radio-Television. After graduating, he packed his bags and headed to New York City to work for Major League Productions, where he worked his way up to producer, and eventually, moved in front of the camera as a reporter and host. He would go on to work for World Wrestling Federation (WWE) as an announcer and studio host before being hired by WWOR TV as an enterprise reporter.
At WWOR, Sean worked his way to the anchor desk, covering such stories as the crash of TWA flight 800 and the ’96 Republican and Democratic conventions. His next stop was WBZ in Boston, where Sean worked as a reporter and anchor before returning to Tucson to start his own production company, Moonrise Productions, and to work for Fox Sports Net. Along the way, Sean has earned numerous accolades for his work, including three Emmy awards.
