News 4 Tucson Cooks: Bananas Foster


  • ¼ c Butter
  • 1c Brown Sugar
  • ½ tsp Cinnamon
  • ¼ c banana liqueur
  • 4  bananas (cut lengthwise)
  • ¼ c Dark Rum

Preparation Instructions:

  • -Place butter, sugar and cinnamon in saute pan over low heat until sugar dissolves.
  • -Add banana liqueur and bananas, cook until bananas begin to soften and brown
  • -Add rum, turn up heat to medium when hot ignite the rum by tipping pan or ignite carefully with match or lighter
  • -When flame extinguishes, spoon out bananas onto scoop of ice cream and sauce generously
