Angelique is thrilled to be back in the Old Pueblo and covering stories that matter to Tucsonans.

Prior to joining News 4 Tucson, Angelique worked for San Diego 6 News and CBS News 8, where she was the lead breaking news reporter. Angelique covered a wide range of stories including the sudden death of San Diego Charger Junior Seau, San Diego Mayor Bob Filner’s resignation and other national headlines including the Boston Marathon Bombings.

Before working in San Diego, Angelique was a reporter for News 4 Tucson and reporter/anchor for KYMA in Yuma, Arizona.

Angelique was one of the first reporters on the scene when Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was shot outside a grocery store back in 2011. She has extensively reported on wildfires and presidential elections and has conducted countless interviews with former Arizona Governor Jan Brewer and Senator John McCain regarding immigration issues.

Angelique earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of San Diego. She holds a Master of Science in Broadcast Journalism from Boston University.

She also studied at ITESO Universidad Jesuita de Guadalajara in Jalisco, Mexico.

Angelique is fluent in Spanish and is a proud member of the National Hispanic Association of Journalists.
