TUCSON (KVOA) - FC Tucson is expecting to get leading scorer Shakeem Adams back for the final stretch of this COVID19-shortened 2020 USL League One season.
When however is the question. Adams has missed the side’s last two matches due to injury.
He leads the club in goals with four. That’s fifth most in the league.
Adams, who goes by Shak, is in his first professional season out of Florida Gulf Coast University. He had a stellar four-year career with the Eagles finishing first in program history in assists (16) and second in goals scored (23).
The Antioch, Tennessee native was selected in the 3rd round of the 2020 MLS Superdraft by his hometown side Nashville SC.
The speedy forward however was released prior to the start of season and immediately signed with FC Tucson.
The Men in Black (4-6-2, 14 points, 6th) hit the road this Friday for a Saturday match in Wisconsin against Forward Madison SC (4-4-2, 14 points, 5th).
