TUCSON – Some have labeled the San Pedro River Valley as the greenbelt of Southern Arizona and it is home to one of the more unique hikes in the state.
Today, we are Hittin’ the Trails 4 You in the heart of Cochise County! The San Pedro Trail can be found east of the Huachuca Mountains and a map to the trails can be found below!
You will love this trail if you’re an experience hiker. It runs along the San Pedro River for thirty miles. If you’re looking for more of a leisurely stroll, pick up a guide at the trailhead and follow the numbered signs.
While the types of trails differ, the condition they’re in does not! Expect flat, well-maintained trails up and down the river.
You will find a large amount of wildlife along the San Pedro Trail! Millions of birds travel through as part of their migration route. White tail and mule deer also call the area home.
