Hittin’ the Trails: King Canyon Trail

TUCSON – It’s several thousand years of history in a half day hike.

The King Canyon Trail in the Tucson Mountains has an immediate split at the trailhead. Stay right on this hike to history.

About a mile in, hikers reach the first picnic area. To the left of the picnic area is a wash, containing petroglyphs dating back to 900 A.D.

Not only will the King Canyon Trail take you to ancient times, it also winds its way to Wasson Peak.
