TUCSON (KVOA)- Many viewers reached out to News 4 Tucson asking which COVID-19 vaccine will be available at the University of Arizona COVID-19 vaccination site as it transitions into a state-run POD.
The UA President Dr. Robert Robbins said during a news conference Monday morning that he doesn't have a final number from the state on how many vaccine doses they will receive this week.
Dr. Robbins said that for this week as they make the transition to a state-run vaccination POD they were assured at least 1,000 doses of Moderna and are still waiting to hear how much Pfizer they will receive.
"Primarily we have been a Pfizer POD because we have the ability to store more than a million doses in our freezer farm that we built out, but we are going to have a combination of Pfizer and Moderna and hopefully J &J and Novavax, AstraZeneca and all vaccines," said Dr. Robbins.
Registration for the UA COVID-19 state-run POD begins Tuesday at 9 a.m. on the state's portal, click here to register. If you need help registering, you can call 1-844-542-8201.
