Some big-box retailers to require masks in states without mandates

(CNN) - Face masks will remain a must at many big businesses in Texas and Mississippi.

That's despite the mask mandate begin lifted in those states.

Many big box retailers and pharmacies will continue to require masks for both customers and employees.

They include, Target, Kroger Walgreens, CVS, Best Buy and Macy's. The mask rule will also stay at GM and Toyota's manufacturing facilities.

However, grocery stores HEB and Albertsons will require masks only for their employees. For customers, masks will be a recommendation.

The two states are ditching the mask requirements despite a pushback from health experts and some business advocates.
