Food items Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona needs most this holiday
TUCSON (KVOA)- As News 4 Tucson gears up for its 12th annual Season 4 Hope holiday campaign, the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona is looking for a number of food items this year.
The most needed food items are: peanut butter, oatmeal, cereal, granola bars, canned tomato products, canned tuna and chicken, canned soup, canned vegetables, canned fruit, rice, pasta, and packaged nuts and seeds.
"These are staple items that are very popular at our pantries," said Brittany Taft, the community events manager at the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. "We also encourage healthy and nutritious food items whenever possible."

The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona asks that people consider donating nutritious items labelled as low sugar, low or no sodium, or whole grains.
Also, the food bank will not accept glass containers or pre-opened items.
You can help by donating to the campaign by dropping off food to any Rural Metro Fire station, Corona de Tucson Fire station, or to select Tucson Fire Department stations or any of our sponsor businesses.
This year’s sponsor businesses include Premier Auto Center, Goodwill of Southern Arizona, Pima Pain Center, Sierra Tucson and Tucson Subaru.
