NBC NEWS- Attendance at Disneyland is down this summer.
According to Disney’s CEO, attendance has dropped about three percent since the may debut of Star Wars: Galaxy Edge Park. The decline in summer visitors is being attributed in part to the new Star Wars theme park and the potential for overcrowding.
CEO Bob Iger says higher ticket prices and more expensive accommodations could be keeping visitors away, particularly annual pass holders. In January, Disneyland raised its one day summer ticket prices by ten percent. It’s annual pass prices also increased significantly.
