Pima County Public Library kicking off summer reading

TUCSON – Pima County Public Library is kicking off its 2019 Summer Reading Program on Saturday, May 18, 2019.

The Pima County Public Library will be starting the program at the Family fiesta at the Tanque Verde Swamp Meet, from 6:30 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. The event will have live action stories from Make Way for Books, a visit from Curious George, crafts, and readers will also get to choose a free book to take home.

The Pima County Summer Reading Program runs from Saturday, May 18 through July 13, 2019. Other program events are listed below:

  • Thursday, May 23, 2–3 pm: Portable Planetarium, Flowing Wells Library
  •  Wednesday, June 5, noon–1 pm: Theater of the Sea, Oro Valley Public Library
  •  Friday, June 28, 1–2 pm: Make a Pinwheel Galaxy, Santa Rosa Library
