Woman dies after being stabbed Sunday at Tucson motel, suspect sought

TUCSON (KVOA) - A woman in her 20s died after being stabbed Sunday on Tucson's west side. Tucson police are now looking for the suspect.

Officers were dispatched to the Terrace Motel at 631 W. Miracle Mile just after 12:30 a.m.

According to Tucson Police Department, officers located 21-year-old Nicole Collins with "numerous lacerations and stab wounds."

On Monday, TPD said the 21-year-old died upon arrival at the hospital.

Police are now searching for 34-year-old Bruce Fairbanks Spring. A felony warrant has been obtained for the arrest of Spring reference first-degree homicide.

He was last seen in the area of Miracle Mile and Oracle Road. Police say he he is driving a silver four-door 2002 Toyota Tacoma with Tonneau cover, Arizona license plate #BGC9421.

Spring is described as five-feet-eleven-inches tall, weighs 200 lbs., with tattoos on both arms, including a spider web on his left elbow.

Detectives are asking the public for information. If Spring is located, do not approach him and call 9-1-1.
