UA duo make freshman All American Team

National recognition keeps pouring in for Arizona Wildcat baseball players as Austin Wells and Dayton Dooney were both named first-team Freshman All-Americans by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.  Here’s more from our Monday sportscast: 

UA’s Cannon named 1st Team All-American

Arizona Wildcats infielder Cameron Cannon has been named a First-Team All-American by Baseball America, the publication announced on Monday. Cannon, honored as a second baseman, was one of 17 players named to the first-team.  Here’s more from Monday’s sportscast:

NBC Sports: Richardson gets prison time in college basketball corruption trial

On Sept. 26, 2017, Richardson was arrested on corruption and bribery charges in connection to an NCAA scandal that accuses the former coach of paying a Wildcat recruit about $20,000. That month, Richardson was suspended shortly after the news broke of Richardson’s arrest, and he was formally fired Jan. 11.
