NBC- Two-thirds of Americans said that their scheduled cancer screenings have been delayed or skipped during the COVID pandemic, according to a new survey of over 4,000 adults, including many who already have cancer.
Two-thirds of those whose screening appointments were delayed said it was their choice.
Despite these numbers, 63% said they were concerned about being behind on these screenings.
The majority of people with active cancer said they're limiting their contact with others and nearly half said the pandemic has worsened their mental health.
Flu shots for veterans
The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System is offering flu shots to veterans.
Tucson Veterans Affairs will host drive-thru flu shot clinics at the Tucson VA main campus starting Saturday.
No appointments are necessary.
